Reasons Microsoft is like the Borg.

The Borg CollectiveBill Gates and the Microsoft Collective
Travel from system to system assimilating culture after culture. Travel from culture to culture assimilating system after system.
"We will add your individuality and your distinctiveness to our own" "We will add your money and all of your productivity to our own"
There are sub parts of the Borg that are incompatible with the rest of the collective for an undetermined reason. (Hugh and his Borg) There are parts of the Microsoft collective that are incompatible with the rest of the collective for an undetermined reason. (Microsoft Works)
The Borg have a Queen that is evil and ambitious enough to go back in time to enslave humanity. The Microsoft Collective have Gates who is evil and ambitious enough to, in the past, use a Basic interpretor to begin the empire.
The Borg hunt down and absorb anything that is different from them, even if it is not a threat. Microsoft hunts down and absorbs all Macintosh, UNIX, and OS2 users, even though they only make up ten percent of the market.
"RESISTANCE IS FUTILE" "RESISTANCE IS FUTILE"

Reasons Microsoft is worse than the Borg.

The Borg CollectiveBill Gates and the Microsoft Collective
The Borg are mortal and are repeatedly beaten by normal humans like Picard. Microsoft is an immortal cooperation, and there doesn't seem to be any way to stop them.
Individuals have escaped the Borg (Guinan, Soran, Hugh) No one escapes Windows.
When the Borg assimilate a culture, they improve themselves. Microsoft improved themselves with Windows 95.
The Borg are fast and punctual with their new invasions. Microsoft is not.
The Borg invade using one self contained ship. Microsoft invades with packages like Office and Works.
If you separate a Borg from the collective, it will return to being an individual. If you separate Windows and DOS from your computer, what can you replace it with?
The Borg are characters in a T.V. show. Microsoft is real.
