We are also offering sections of some of the program prerequisites. If you are required to take any of these courses, summer is an excellent time to do so!

We will be offering the following graduate courses in the Fall:

Sections of the internship, project, thesis, and independent study courses are also offered. With the exception of the internship course, there is a separate section for each faculty member (see Banner for the specific CRN). You must get the permission of the faculty member before registering for their section. Please contact Dr. Sullins about registering for the internship course.

In addition, the best way to get more information about any of these courses is to contact the instructor of that course. They can give you far more detailed information on the topics each course will cover. However, here is some very basic information:

• CSCI 6920: Theory and Practice of Information Systems
  CSCI 6950: Advanced Database Design and Administration
  These are the core courses in information systems and databases, required for all students in the program. While we intend to offer them once a year, you should consider taking this course now if possible.
  
  
• CSCI 6961: Client-Side Web Development and Programming
  CSCI 6962: Server-Side Web Development and Programming
  These are electives that we offer once a year. If you have an interest in web development, you should consider these courses.
  
  
• CSCI 5895: TCP/IP Programming
  This is a new special topics course related to network programming. If you have an interest in networking or security, you should strongly consider it.
  
  
• CSCI 5895: Game Animation
  This is a special topics course taught every two years. If you have an interest in game development, you should consider taking it.
  
  
• CSIS 5807: Compiler Design
  This is an upper level computer science course which we plan on offering every other year. If you have an interest in the internal workings of a computer or in writing a parser for an application, you should consider taking this course.
  
  
• CSIS 5820: Simulation
  This is an upper level computer science course which we plan on offering every other year. If you have an interest in using computing to simulate large-scale processes, you should consider taking this course.
  
  
• CSIS 5883: Remote Access and Multilayer Switched Networks
  This is an upper level course in Cisco networking, generally offered once a year. If you have an interest in networking, and the required Cisco background, you should consider taking this course.
